A labor leader in Britain’s Unite the Union, Monique Mosley participated for the first time in a meeting of the Professional Group of Agricultural Workers (GPTA), which was held this year in Bogotá (Colombia), on September 18 and 19, and she remarked on the wealth of knowledge that she takes back with her from the event.

Among the issues discussed, Monique highlighted the importance of learning about the impacts of the extensive use of toxic agrochemicals in agriculture, the effects of climate change on agricultural laborers, and the persistent inequality that women working in the sector must bear.
